After a very busy week when we have literally welcomed thousands of visitors to our newly-opened Museum we have now added some photographs from the Opening Weekend event to the Events Photographs 2014 page.

Also on this page is a video previewing some of Museum's exhibits currently on display, courtesy of Alan Richardson.

Don't forget that when you take out a Museum membership you get unlimited free admission until 31 March 2015!
 

Baxter Park Fun Day photographs added to website

Some photographs from the Baxter Park Fun Day event that took place on Saturday 11 August 2012 have now been added to the Event photos 2012 section on our website.

   

WestFest photographs added to website

Some photographs from the WestFest event that took place on Sunday 10 June 2012 have now been added to the Event photos 2012 section on our website.

   

Overgate exhibition photographs added to website

A collection of 24 photographs from our extremely successful exhibition at Overgate, Dundee on 2 June 2012 has now been added to our Event photos 2012 section.

This event not only marked the official launch of our new exhibition trailer but allowed us to display many new exhibits acquired and restored by the Museum.

We were also delighted when The Lord Provost's Youth Parade made a detour though our Overgate display and some photographs of the parade are included in our gallery.

Many thanks to everyone who attended on the day and continue to help us as we strive to open a permanent Transport Museum in the former Maryfield Tram Depot.

Museum welcomes another new virtual exhibit

Keith Richardson has kindly contacted Dundee Museum of Transport to share with us some information and photographs of the former 1961 Angus Area / Tayside Fire Brigade Turntable Ladder.

MTS279 is preserved, under restoration and hopefully will become part of Tayside's transport heritage on display in our Transport Museum.
